01

Where it started

A tired, failing retaining wall on a steep block, slipping and pulling apart. First move: machine in, old structure out, and the ground cut back to a clean, stable base.

02

Building the structure

A new engineered block retaining wall goes in, laid course by course on a proper footing, so the slope is held for the long haul.

03

Drainage and finish

Backfilled with drainage gravel so water moves the right way behind the wall, then the beds are set out and the first plants go in.

Questions

Asked all the time

Can you remove the old wall?

Yes. Demolition of failing brick, timber or block walls is part of the job, like the Parkwood rebuild in our portfolio where the old brick wall came down before the engineered block wall went up.

What materials do you build retaining walls in?

Steel, timber and block, engineered for sloping Gold Coast blocks. The material comes down to the loads, the drainage and the look you are after, and we advise on site.
